When should I upgrade my switchboard?
If your board still runs ceramic fuses, has no safety switches, trips regularly, or can't keep up with modern loads like air conditioning and EV chargers, it's time. Older boards are a real fire and shock risk and weren't built for today's demands. We inspect yours, tell you straight whether it needs replacing, and quote a compliant upgrade — don't poke around an old board yourself, especially if it may contain asbestos panels.

Can you install safety switches as part of a switchboard upgrade?
Yes — that's a core part of it. Safety switches (RCDs) cut power in milliseconds if there's a fault, protecting your family from shock. When we upgrade a switchboard we fit RCD protection across every circuit, not just a couple, so the whole installation is compliant and safe. The upgrade is done with the power off for part of the day and fully certified on completion.
